What’s the most striking moment that helped you set your expectations from other
For me, it was a morning when my legs suddenly went numb. It was still early in the morning, and I had taken my medication on time, but I was terrified. I was supposed to meet my boyfriend on the sidewalk, and I was scared he would see me struggling.
I tried my best to get home quickly, but unfortunately, he saw me and came over.
When I saw him approaching, my heart sank. I was afraid he would panic, or worse, blame me for overworking myself or not taking better care of myself.
But instead, he simply took my bag, looked at me with a smile, and asked:
“Do you want me to do something?”
That was it.
My heart filled with warmth, and for the first time in that moment, I felt completely safe and secure. It felt like MG wasn’t standing between us. I didn’t have to explain myself, defend myself, or feel guilty for what my body was doing. He was just there.
That moment made me realize that this is exactly what I want in a relationship: understanding without judgment, support without taking away my independence, and someone who gives me space while making me feel safe.
