Do you fly? Drive? Take the bus or train?

If you travel, what are the things that you do to prepare for that travel? Is your preparation for domestic travel different than international travel?

    Give us your top tip!

I travel a lot. I have all my medications for 5 days in my carry-on, and I also pack extra Mestinon in my carry-on in case my checked luggage gets lost. I also went to the Maldives even though it can be challenging with the heat and no neurologist nearby. I only have a mild form of myasthenia, but hiking trips would be too exhausting and would require very careful planning. This year we are going to Sweden, where there are good neurologists in case anything happens. And there will be plenty of time to relax in between.

Im new to being diagnosed and navigating the challenges but ive been trying to take any unneeded muscle use out of the equation: checked bag, light carry-on/backpack (with all my meds +extra), planned frequent bathroom breaks so I can drink plenty, mandatory stretch breaks every hour when sitting and sitting breaks when standing…

The piece im struggling is finding seating where I can truly rest my body (besides pool loungers or a bed). That’s a huge piece of my fatigue that leads to pain. I need full support chairs with head & back rests but restaurants and conference rooms, etc. Just don’t have those. Trying to figure out what I can easily travel with to make them more supportive. Any thing you all have found?
