  • Allergic/Adverse reaction to Vyvgart infusions

Anyone else have an allergic reaction to Vyvgart infusions? I was on my first infusion of the 3rd cycle when I had a very unpleasant allergic reaction to it. Blood pressure extremes, shortness of breath, torso pain, nausea, etc. My neurologist doesn’t think any of the other infusions will work so she’s increasing the Cellcept dosage to try to reduce the prednisone dosage that I’ve been on for quite a while.

Would be curious to know if anyone else had an adverse reaction to Vyvgart.

    Thanks.

Vyvgart never gave me any side effects during the infusion. UsualIy, I would feel really good after the infusion. I did get a urinary tract infection in January. Vyvgart was no longer controlling my mg symptoms following the infection. I was thrown into a crisis and have been in the hospital more than out since the middle of February. We now have to come up with another treatment plan or arr back to ground zero.

I’m really sorry to hear how difficult things have been since your infection. Being in and out of the hospital and having to rethink a treatment plan can be incredibly challenging. I hope your care team is able to help you find a direction forward that brings some stability soon.

Thank you for sharing this. Treatment responses can vary widely from person to person, so hearing different experiences from the community can sometimes help. I hope you’re able to figure out an alternative that works for you.

MG definitely comes with many challenges. It’s funny how our differences somehow make us less unique and occasionally similar.

A new plan has been developed. It will take a full care team to implement.🤞
