My initial symptoms began in response to hot weather. I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I noticed with the heat came more difficulty breathing, weakness, fatigue, “heaviness” in my arms, legs, hands, feet (more on the right side) being more clumsy, and dropping things. Within a few months I began experiencing vertigo, double vision and ptosis in right eye. Within weeks I next experienced swallowing difficulties, slurred speech and breathy/hoarse vocal quality. My first doctor’s appointment was to my eye doctor for the droopy eyelid & double vision. I was referred to a neurologist which led to the gMG diagnosis.
