I got a referral to a gastroenterologist for my chronic diarrhea and when he found out was on Mestinon, he said he prescribes Mestinon for people with constipation. I was able to control my diarrhea with Imodium. I’m allergic to Pepto-Bismol because it has salicylic acid in it. Luckily, I was able to taper off the Mestinon. I am doing pretty well without it, but I just have to remember to get my walks in in the morning before I get too weak in the afternoon. Good luck!
